Jessie R. Benavides joined Parkowski, Guerke, & Swayze, P.A. as an associate in 2020. Her practice concentrates on domestic relations, personal injury, and estates. She is fluent in Spanish.
Ms. Benavides holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Development Studies from McGill University and graduated cum laude from Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is a fellow of the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society. During law school, Ms. Benavides worked in various positions including as a judicial extern for the Honorable Paul R. Wallace of Superior Court, New Castle County, a law clerk for the Delaware Department of Justice, a law clerk for the Bureau of Consumer Protection in Philadelphia, and an AmeriCorps JD Fellow for Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Parkowski, Guerke & Swayze, Ms. Benavides clerked for two years for the Honorable James G. McGiffin, Jr. of the Delaware Family Court, Kent County.
Ms. Benavides was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada but spent most of her childhood growing up in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She was admitted to practice law in Delaware in 2019. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Delaware.
